Leaving aside the obvious answer - "Why not an otter?" - when it came time to choose a name for my company, I wanted something with character, something memorable, something with a sense of relevance to the corporate attitude...

                Otters are intelligent, industrious, indigenous to Scotland, and have a playfull side... they also have a particular personal significance for Lorraine and I, since our courtship was dogged (or indeed, ottered) by constant coincidental references to the whiskery little devils..

                It also harks back to a South African colleague of mine who used to assure me that at the company where we worked, there was "nutting to luk forwarrd to but your fest ot atteck"

                I looked forward... this is my first Ottertech. I hope it's my last!!
